Welcome to Auburn Off-Road
Design. Build. Test. Race.
Auburn Off-Road is a student-led team that designs, builds, tests, and races an off-road vehicle each year through Baja SAE.
What do we do?
Student-Built Off-Road Racing
Auburn Off-Road is a student-led team that designs, builds, tests, and races an off-road vehicle each year through Baja SAE. Every part of the car is shaped by student work, from the first design ideas to manufacturing, testing, fundraising, and competition.
The goal is to build a car that can handle the Baja SAE competitions while giving students a place to meet friends and learn outside of the classroom.
Who are we?
A Team Built by Auburn Students
We are a group of Auburn students who enjoy building things, solving problems, and learning by doing. Our team includes students from different majors and experience levels, and not everyone joins knowing how to design parts, weld, machine, or work on cars.
Members can get involved with design, manufacturing, testing, business, sponsorships, media, and race preparation.
Why support Auburn Off-Road?
Sponsors Keep Us Moving
Our sponsors play a huge role in keeping this team running. Their support helps us purchase materials, parts, tools, safety equipment, and travel resources needed to build and compete each year.
Design
Students work on vehicle systems, CAD, research, testing plans, and engineering decisions.
Build
Members gain hands-on experience with manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, and shop work.
Support
Sponsors, alumni, and supporters help provide the resources needed to keep the team moving forward.
Compete
The team tests the vehicle at Baja SAE competitions through technical inspection, dynamic events, and endurance racing.
How do I get involved?
New Members Are Always Welcome
Team meetings are held every Monday at 5:30 PM in Wiggins Hall, Room 1409. New members are always welcome, and you do not need any prior experience to join.
