Advancements in technology can make outreach and productivity easier, but they also require organizations to stay on pace with ever-changing modalities and preferences within their industry.

As the newest team member at Engineering Online, Jenna Morrow says she is ready for the challenge. Jenna serves as program manager for Engineering Professional Development (EPD), which provides continuing education and certification opportunities for working engineers.

“Technology requires program managers to continually evaluate what is working and adapt quickly to changing expectations,” she says. “I look forward to keeping an eye on our EPD offerings and adjust as needed to ensure we are providing content that our clients want.”

Jenna has almost 20 years of experience in sales, program management and hospitality, with the last three being in higher education. In her last role at Auburn University Outreach, she managed a variety of outreach programs under the Government and Economic Development Institute (GEDI).

“I’m passionate about connecting people, building partnerships, and creating exceptional experiences through service and collaboration,” she says.

The opportunity to combine those skills are what led Jenna to Engineering Online.

“I have seen firsthand the impact that educational and professional development programs can have on individuals and organizations,” she adds. “I look forward to continuing in that mission here.”

Jenna hopes to grow the EPD program by strengthening relationships with both the university instructors who teach the courses and industry partners. She plans to meet with as many faculty and company leaders as possible to ensure everyone is on the same page about what courses are most relevant and needed in today’s industry.

“One of the things that has always been a passion for me is connecting with people, and I can see already how important those relationships are to the success of this role,” she says.

Above all, Jenna says she plans to continuously monitor the EPD courses in order to “uphold the Auburn Engineering brand by providing high quality, forward-thinking online programs.”

A north Alabama native, Jenna is an Auburn graduate and also has an MBA from Auburn University-Montgomery. She now lives in Auburn with her husband, two kids, a chocolate Labrador, and a one-eyed cat.

“Our family moved back from Charlotte (North Carolina) in 2022 to be closer to family and, of course, to properly immerse our children in the Auburn culture.”
