Auburn Engineering professor named associate editor at IEEE journal

Auburn Engineering’s Xiaowen Gong was recently appointed as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications.

The scientific journal, published by the IEEE Communications Society, advances the theories and applications of wireless communications systems and networks. With an impact factor of 6.779, it is committed to publishing high-quality theoretical and practical papers in a timely manner.

Gong is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering who joined the Auburn Engineering faculty in 2017. Additionally, he serves as the web chair for the IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Smart Systems (MASS.) His current research focuses on machine learning and artificial intelligence in wireless networks, edge computing and crowdsourcing.
