What’s better than being a graduate of an SEC institution? Being an SEC Engineer. Auburn Engineer.
The results are in, and Auburn Engineering alumni have exemplified what it means to be a part of the Auburn Family.
The SEC Engineering Challenge allowed engineering alumni of all 14 SEC universities to support engineering students at their alma mater. Standings were calculated by the number of gifts of $100 or more made by alumni to their respective colleges. The challenge ended June 30, 2019.
Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering was announced the 2019 winner, followed by the University of Tennessee in second and the University of Arkansas in third.
“The Auburn Family never ceases to amaze me. It’s because of them that we’re honored to have won the SEC Engineering Challenge,” said Christopher B. Roberts, dean of engineering. “What makes Auburn great, truly great, are the loyal, dedicated alumni who continue to give back to this university. Our engineering graduates are some of the best in the country. They’re out changing the world, driving technical innovation and working hard to improve the quality of life for all people. But the best thing about our alumni is that they never forget the university and the college that helped to get them where they are today.”
