$20 million

One of the classic, most iconic buildings on Auburn’s campus — the former Textile Building, which has been renamed as the Gavin Engineering Research Laboratory — will soon be outfitted and renovated into a state-of-the-art facility thanks to a generous gift made possible by Carol Ann and Charles E. Gavin III. The $20 million project is set to begin summer 2016.

Broun Hall will soon be renovated to provide students with an improved learning environment, thanks to the generosity of Dorothy Davidson, chair and CEO of Huntsville's Davidson Technologies. Davidson’s $5 million gift honors her late husband Julian Davidson, a 1950 Auburn electrical engineering graduate and defense industry pioneer.
