With the largest gift in school history, John and Rosemary Brown kicked off the Because This is Auburn campaign by committing $57 million to the university, with more than half going toward construction of an engineering student achievement center. This cutting-edge facility in the heart of the engineering campus will enhance a multitude of student support services and activities.
One of the classic, most iconic buildings on Auburn’s campus — the former Textile Building, which has been renamed as the Gavin Engineering Research Laboratory — will soon be outfitted and renovated into a state-of-the-art facility thanks to a generous gift made possible by Carol Ann and Charles E. Gavin III. The $18 million project is set to begin summer 2016.
