Power Electronics Control Research

Since 1993, the Auburn University Electrical & Computer Engineering laboratories for Control Systems Research and Power Electronics Research have collaborated on numerous projects focusing on the analysis, design, testing, and evaluation of advanced control methods for power electronics. Controller implementations have been performed using a wide range of technologies, from low-cost microcontrollers to high performance floating-point digital signal processors (DSP). Control methods such as have been applied to many converter topologies Tested power electronic applications have included power supplies, magnetic bearings, and motor drives.
