Richard Sesek

Richard Sesek is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Auburn University. He joined the faculty in 2009. Previously he was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Utah.

Research Interests include industrial ergonomics, human factors/engineering psychology, safety engineering, biomechanics, ergonomic modeling and ergonomic survey tools, occupational safety and health standards and compliance. Dr. Sesek is a certified safety professional and certified professional ergonomist.

Dr. Sesek is director of Occupational Injury Prevention Research Training (OIPRT) within the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department’s Occupational Safety and Ergonomics/Injury Prevention Program which is part of the Deep South Center for Occupational Safety and Health. The Deep South Center is a National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Education and Research Center (ERC). The Deep South Center is joint effort of Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
