Summary of Project
This is the second phase of the research project "Development of a Highway Incident Management Training (HIMT) Guide," which was completed in June 2011. The objective of the proposed research is to develop web-based training materials and supporting computer tools to accompany the one-day classroom training developed in the Phase I. The proposed phase II project was highly recommended by the TRP members to ensure all participants come to the classroom training with the same level of background knowledge and common terminologies. Additional computer tools will be developed to improve the traditional tabletop exercises and to foster a friendly competition and enthusiasm for mastering the knowledge of highway incident management. .
