Welcome to Dr. Oladiran Fasina's Biomaterials Engineering webpage. Dr. Fasina is an Alumni Professor and Undergraduate Program Coordinator with the Department of Biosystems Engineering, Auburn University, Auburn, AL. He received his Ph.D degree in Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering from University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, and his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Agricultural Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Before joining Auburn University in 2002, Dr. Fasina worked as a Food Process Engineer (Research Associate) with USDA-ARS Food Science Research Unit, Raleigh, NC and as a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Food and Bioproduct Sciences, University of Saskatchewan. He also worked as an Assistant Lecturer with the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Dr. Fasina holds several leadership positions in ASABE - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, and serves on several committees including those related to instruction and assessment at Auburn University College of Agriculture and Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. He is an ASABE fellow and has received several awards in recognition of excellence in research, teaching and service.
