Auburn's Bent

When
Auburn's bent has been polished. Its future permanent location is still uncertain. Ideas are to maybe replace the concrete bent currently in front of Ramsay Hall or possibly incorporate it somewhere in the up and coming Engineering Transportation Technology Center.
About the bent
Our bent is about 4 feet tall and 1.5 feet wide.  Our bent was made outside of San Diego using the lost wax technique.  A bent was sculpted out of wax, and the wax was placed vertically in a bed of sand.  Molten bronze was poured in to the sand, replacing the wax.  Supports were placed in the metal before it cooled.
