Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering has again been recognized as a national leader, ranking among the nation’s Top 30 public institutions in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs for a third consecutive year.

“This consistent ranking validates the Samuel Ginn College as a national leader in engineering education and recognizes our efforts to create an exceptional student-centered engineering experience at Auburn,” said Christopher B. Roberts, dean of engineering. “When students come to Auburn, they receive hands-on experience both inside and outside the classroom, backed by expert faculty and unparalleled student support programs. Our alumni have long known this, but more and more, our engineering peers surveyed by U.S. News & World Report are seeing this, too.”

Diversity within Auburn’s 10 engineering programs – aerospace, biosystems, chemical, civil and environmental, computer science and software, electrical and computer, industrial and systems, materials, mechanical, and wireless – provide students with 13 different degree opportunities, including a host of graduate programs.

The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary next year, is the highest ranked engineering program in the state and consistently ranks among the top institutions in the country. The college produces one-third of the state of Alabama’s engineering graduates annually and boasts several prominent alumni, including four astronauts and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.
