Auburn Engineering students can now apply for the summer 2017 International Engineering and Business Study Abroad program in Rome.
This faculty-led program provides hands-on engineering work combined with a unique cultural experience. Students will work in teams on a consulting project for an Italian business client. The purpose of the program is to provide students with real-life work experience solving business problems through teamwork in an international setting.
Students must take the three credit-hour Auburn course ENGR 4610: International Engineering and Business Project. Students can also choose to take between three to nine credit hours from the following courses:
The program, sponsored by the Thomas Walter Center for Technology Management, is open to all engineering majors. Students must have a 2.25 GPA or higher.

Program fees
The cost of the program is $9,500. Program fees include Auburn coursework credit hours (three credits per course), housing in Rome for the duration of the program, transportation on site for the duration of the program, cultural and professional programs, a day tour of Rome, welcome and farewell receptions, trip cancellation insurance and emergency evacuation insurance.
Additional costs not included in the program fees include: airfare, meals, passport, optional tours and entrance fees to some sites, the $638 Auburn Abroad fee and the Auburn Engineering professional fee.
