Graduate Assistantship
Prospective students having research interest in biomass gasification, hydrogen production from renewable resources, fast pyrolysis of terrestial biomass and hydrothermal liquefaction of alage are encouraged to contact Dr. Adhikari for possible funding. Graduate research assistantships are normally available for highly qualified and motivated students. Ph. D. and MS assistantships will start at $22,000 and $18,000 per year, respectively with the possibility of increments. Problems related with bioenergy systems are often multi-disciplinary in nature and a strong background in Agriculture/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with good communication skills and ability to work in teams are necessary traits of prospective students. Prospective students are encouraged to contact Dr. Adhikari with their credentials including GRE and TOEFL scores.
