Kevin AldaradoKevin Albarado's love affair with Auburn began with his first visit to the Auburn campus, but his love affair with aerospace engineering began even earlier -- when he was a child.

"I was fascinated by the raw power that modern airplanes and space vehicles possess," says Albarado. "I came to Auburn Engineering to learn more about them and to one day have a career working with them."  Albarado had three main reasons for choosing Auburn: the great athletics program, the quiet campus close to home and the reputation of its engineering programs.

He credits Auburn Engineering with preparing him for a successful career after graduation. Time spent with design teams such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Design, Build, Fly Team, as well as opportunities to engage in undergraduate research, helped him put what he learned in the classroom to work. "Auburn Engineering has given me my future," he says. "I know that I will use what I learned here for the rest of my life."

In his time at Auburn, Albarado’s most treasured memory is the 2006 Auburn vs. Florida football game. "That game made me proud to be an Auburn Tiger," he says. "The energy and excitement of watching two great teams on the field was incredible."
