Asphalt Binders (Superpave and polymer-modified), Aggregates, and Mixtures
Asphalt Mix Design (Superpave and Marshall)
Asphalt Pavement Construction, Recycling, Rehabilitation, and Maintenance
Troubleshooting during and after construction (has provided this service across the world)

Chief Asphalt Road Engineer of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (1970-88)
Former member of the Graduate Faculty of Civil Engineering at Auburn University
Co-author of the first ever textbook on asphalt road technology in the US
Chairman, US Transportation Research Board Committee on Asphalt Roads (1982-88)
Chairman, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International Committee on Road Paving Standards (responsible for over 200 standards used worldwide)
President, International Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT)
Inducted on the "Wall of Honour" established at the largest asphalt road research center in the world (2011)
Made Honorary Member of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (2012) - considered equivalent to "Life Time Achievement Award in Asphalt Technology"
