Projects, outreach, competitions, conferences, etc.:

The purpose of the AGS is to provide Auburn University students and alumni with professional development opportunities, pertaining to the fields of geo-science through networking, community outreach, and research presentations.

We hold general meetings on the third Thursday of each month in Ramsay 314 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. We also try to hold two additional events each month involving industry professionals. These events may involve an industry professional presenting their work and experience to the group. Or, we may invite a group of industry professionals to an event in which our members present the research they are working on. We hold social events once a month such as bowling events, barbecues and trivia nights. We hold some sort of fundraising event once a semester. We also try to participate in K-12 outreach events when we have the opportunity.
