  • A 32 foot tri-pontoon boat with a custom-designed vibracore system for collecting long (< 6 ft.) sediment cores from nearshore coastal and estuarine waters.  The system was designed to function autonomously, allowing deployment and core collection in both deep (< 100 ft.) and very shallow water (including coastal surf zones).  Additionally, the system is designed to function in sediment predominantly comprised of homogeneous, well-packed sand, normally a very challenging environment for deep core acquisition.
  • A 21 foot shallow draft platform boat for working in very shallow estuarine waters.
  • The EERP acquired a state-of-the-art liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry system from Agilent Technologies in May, 2015. The Agilent 6460 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS/MS delivers unparalleled sensitivity for trace level analysis of a broad spectrum of micropollutants, including EDCs. EERP researchers are using this system to develop new analytical methods for detecting and quantifying multiple EDCs in complex environmental samples, and applying these methods in laboratory and field studies to advance the state of knowledge regarding EDCs in estuarine systems.
