About Wireless Engineering
For many years, we have relied on wireless technology for communications through AM and FM broadcast radio, commercial television, and terrestrial and satellite telecommunications links. Towards the end of the last century, however, wireless communication technology has become an even more pervasive influence by enabling billions of people worldwide to communicate effectively. This explosive growth in the wireless industry has positively influenced global business and commerce in almost every technological area we can imagine. Auburn University's Bachelor of Wireless Engineering (BWE) degrees offered through the ECE and CSSE Departments represent the first such degree program in the country and provides students with a unique opportunity to enter this exciting and rapidly expanding field. In addition, MS and PhD degree programs offer advanced study in a broad range of topics related to wireless technology. We believe our Wireless Engineering Program will help satisfy the worldwide need for engineers in this field, and provide an educational and technical resource for those needing access to wireless information and assistance with applications of wireless technology.
