Degree Offerings
The Auburn University Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) offers three graduate degrees for students interested in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics.
Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering (MISE)
Non-thesis professional degree
Master of Science (MS)
Research, thesis based
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
In addition, students interested in Occupational Injury Prevention (OIP) may pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Students who graduate from any of these program have the option to earn a graduate certificate in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics in addition to their degree.
All graduate degrees require satisfactory completion of a departmental "core" curriculum that is discussed on the ISE departmental website Core Courses.
