Nuclear Density GaugeRegistration Form for ALDOT Radiation Safety Officer Training Courses

Maximum of 30 students; minimum of 8 students

This is a one-day course of classroom instruction. The objective is to train designated individuals in the proper procedures for conducting and documenting a radiation safety program. The course will include all materials necessary for attendants to teach a Radiation Safety Refresher workshop to previously certified ALDOT technicians. Course topics will include:

  • Regulations for securing and transporting nuclear gauges
  • Personnel monitoring
  • What to do in case of an accident or if gauge is stolen
  • Instructions for conducting leak tests
  • Documentation needs

The Radiation Safety Course is a prerequisite for this course.

Fees:

Registration fee: $250/student
Written retake: $150/student

The costs for housing, food, and transportation are the responsibility of each student.

Deadline:

Pre-payment and registration is required, and must be received no later than 10 days prior to the start date of the course.

Refunds:

Cancellations two weeks prior to the start date of the course will result in a complete refund of registration fee. No refunds will be provided for a cancellation after that date.
