Building/Laboratories
The AUMRIRC is housed in a 45,000 square foot (sf) building in the Auburn University Research Park . This building currently houses the 3T MRI scanner as well as associated laboratories and office space. A 7T MRI scanner will be available for research use in April 2012.
The scanners will reside on the first floor on opposite ends of the building. EAMC leases approximately 3000 sf near the 3T scanner for their clinical imaging operation. Near the 7T scanner, rooms are provided for subject reception and consultation, a mock scanner, and a subject dressing room.
The second floor of the building contains office space for the MRI facility faculty and staff, a distance-learning-enabled classroom, and a main conference room.
