Current Research:

Research and development of novel microfibrous media for air filter applications.

Use full size experimental facility to optimize the MESA (Multi-Element Structured Arrays) filter to decrease the pressure drop in the filtration process. Furthermore, using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method to simulate and model the process.

Research Interests:

Filtration of aerosol particles by fibrous materials.

3-D simulation of particle filtration using nanofibrous filters.

Manufacture of fibrous media, including polymer, metal and ceramic fiber.

Integrated filter for removing dust and VOCs.
