By Fall 2008, the goal is to have outside research support, exclusive of NTC funding, of at least $1.5M annually. This funding will allow the faculty to support twenty graduate students, twelve M.S. and eight Ph.D. While outside research funding is vital to have a viable graduate program, in order to attract the very best graduate students, funding to provide five prestige graduate fellowships offering tuition remission and significantly greater stipends ($25k) will be sought.
