Overview
Since it's beginnings, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has attracted
exceptional faculty to teach our students and advance the discipline. That great
tradition continues today as is evidenced by our ever-increasing list of faculty
patents and inventions, membership in academic academies and in peer recognition.
We now boast an academic faculty of 31, all of them with doctorates in their
chosen fields. Add to this our research faculty of who work in one of our many
labs and centers and you get a feel for the source of our engineering strength.
Our faculty are supported by a dedicated and hardworking staff committed to making
