Mr. Howard has been employed by Auburn University since October 1999. He is responsible for general lab operations and maintenance. He also coordinates equipment, supply and chemical purchasing for the program's research and academic activities. After completion of military service, during which he completed a basic electronics course, Roy worked for 33 years in private industry, primarily as a chemical lab technician. Since coming to Auburn, he has taken and completed AC/DC fundamentals at Southern Union State Community College. He received the Materials Engineering Staff Service Award in 2001. |
