Info for Newly Admitted Students

Graduate Assistantships - Information about our graduate assistantships is available here.

Graduate Advisor - Initially, Dr. Jorge Valenzuela, the Graduate Program Officer (GPO) will serve as your advisor and will assist you with your course planning.  You will select your permanent advisor (and advisory committee) after arriving and meeting the other faculty members.  Most students select their permanent advisor within their first two semesters of graduate work.

If you choose the coursework only MISE, you do not need to select an individual advisor.  Dr. Jorge Valenzuela will serve as your advisor.

The first step in setting up your degree plan is to look carefully at the Core Courses, Required Background, and Course Schedules pages and try to assess any required leveling.

I-20 Form - For international students, the Graduate School and the Office of International Education initiate work on your I-20 immediately after your admittance to the university.  The Graduate School will contact you if they require any additional financial information in order to complete the I-20.  Click here for additional information for International students.

The estimated cost of attendance for international students is available at the following OIE web site: http://www.auburn.edu/academic/international/oie/iss/prospective/issprospcoa.htm
