Fellowships and Assistantships
As a demonstration of its commitment to graduate education and to the critical
role that graduate assistants play in supporting the university's research and
teaching missions, Auburn University provides in-state tuition fellowships and
health insurance fellowships to its graduate assistants who meet minimum requirements.
The fellowships are administered through the Graduate School, but allocated to
the colleges and schools for use in programs consistent with published institutional
goals. They are to be used as recruiting incentives to attract the highest quality
graduate students possible. Fellowship recipients are expected to present graduate
credentials placing them at the top of all applicants and students in the academic
unit. There is no application process associated with this program. All contact
and any questions concerning eligibility and availability should be directed to
specific academic departments or the deans' offices of the respective academic
colleges or schools.
