How to Apply

Student conducting experimentFellowship application is a part of the normal application process.  You will not be considered for a fellowship until you apply and are accepted to the graduate school (See How to Apply, below.).
Application deadlines:  
  • Dean's or College Fellowships: January 15, 2009. Applicants are encouraged to apply before this  date to make it easier to schedule their on-campus visit. 
  • Departmental and Tuition fellowships: Any time 

How to apply: 

  1. Choose an academic program to apply to.  Students are encouraged to contact individual faculty members to discuss available research opportunities.  Use the faculty expertise search to identify a faculty member who matches your interest.
  2. Take the GRE.
  3. Complete the on-line graduate school application.  When filling out the fellowship application page of the admission form, please check the box(s) adjacent to the fellowships that you would like to be considered for.
  4. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you indicating that your application has been received.
  5. We suggest that you also make arrangements to attend one of our graduate student recruitment events.
