Study abroad is a student's pursuit of educational opportunities in other countries.
This experience enhances the academic, personal and professional development of
those who participate. Experiences may range from immersion by enrolling in classes
in another country to independent study to volunteering to research.
Enrollment in Auburn Abroad, through the Office of International Education, is required for all students studying or interning abroad in order to get AU credit for their courses/experience abroad, to have this experience listed on their transcript, to be enrolled in the AU Emergency Medical Assistance Plan while abroad, and to release funding from financial aid, PACT, voc. rehab. and scholarships.
It is suggested that students planning to study abroad attend a 30-minute orientation. These are offered every Thursday and Friday. To learn more log on to: http://www.auburn.edu/studyabroad.
In addition to information presented on this web site, the Auburn University Office of International Education http://www.auburn.edu/studyabroad offers a comprehensive directory of Auburn Abroad programs.
