Auburn University Undergraduate Engineering Program - India
Majaraja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) located in New Delhi, India has partnered with Auburn University to offer MAIT students a chance to earn an Auburn University engineering degree in three areas: 1. Mechanical Engineering, 2. Electrical and Computer Engineering and 3. Computer Science and Software Engineering. Presently, only Mechanical and Electrical and Computer engineering are offered but it is expected that Computer Science and Software Engineering will be offered beginning fall 2009
Participants in the Auburn University Undergraduate Engineering Program in India, will complete a two-year pre-engineering program at MAIT that mirrors Auburn's program. Students who successfully complete this program will be admitted to Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
Those qualified students who do not attain satisfactory immigration status for admission into the United States or who choose not to come to Auburn for completion of their program will be assisted by MAIT to enter other programs as appropriate at other institutions within India through a pre-negotiated agreement with GGSIP University in India.
