The faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is a highly
educated group dedicated to excellence in Teaching, Research and Public Service--
the responsibilities of the Land Grant Institution of the State of Alabama. All
faculty members have their Ph.D degree and many of them have named professorships.
Approximately one-third of the faculty are Fellows of their technical societies
and many of them have served as officers of technical organizations, and/or editors
of technical journals. The faculty have a record of distinction in classroom
instruction and have received an impressive number of teaching awards, both national
and local, which attest to the type of education they provide to the students
under their supervision.
The staff members within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are dedicated professionals who devote their time and energy to enhancing the functions and laboratories needed to support the mission of the department. Through their expertise, they ensure that the department functions as an effective and efficient organization.
