Master of Science (M.S.)

The M.S. program is available to graduates of both engineering and non-engineering curricula.

For admission to the M.S. program, the applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an institution of recognized standing. All applicants must submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores for the General Test. In addition, all international students must score at least 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Applications for admission are reviewed by the departmental graduate faculty. Decisions are based upon the applicant's potential for success in advanced-level study as indicated by letters of reference, GRE scores, and previous academic achievement. Applicants lacking the necessary background may be required to take additional work to ensure the continuity of their educational and professional experience.
