NSF REU in Wireless, Pervasive and Mobile Computing

Application

Summer research opportunities in Wireless, Pervasive, and Mobile Computing is an excellent opportunity to explore the exciting frontier of wireless technology. Eight students will be selected to participate at Auburn University.

Program Information:

Location:  Auburn University
Duration:  10 weeks (May 19, 2008 to July 25, 2008)
Stipend (tentative): $385/week, $3,850 for 10 weeks
Housing and meal allowance (tentative): $ 2000
Travel allowance (tentative):  up to $420
Deadline: 5 PM, Friday, March 7, 2008 OR until all positions are filled. We reserve the right to make offers to promising applicants before the March 7 deadline. Applying early is always to your benefit!

Applicant qualifications:

  1. Has completed sophomore or junior year of study in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a closely related field
  2. Programming knowledge in C, C++, or Java,  a networking class would be a plus
  3. US citizens or permanent residents

Women, minorities, and students from "undergraduate" institutions are especially encouraged to apply.
