Off Campus Program

BrewBay4The Video Based Outreach Program combines elements of traditional instruction with modern day delivery methods to extend educational opportunity beyond the limits of campus. The program enables individuals to pursue a Master of Software Engineering at their home or work site while maintaining full time employment.

A graduate level course that is offered through the Video Based Outreach Program is taped in one of our classrooms/studios while the class is being conducted. Videotapes or DVDs are mailed on the day of the class and are available for the student usually on the day following the on campus class.

Outreach students are expected to complete the same homework assignments and take the same exams as on campus students. In effect, off campus students are in the same class and receiving the same quality instruction as our on campus students.  One limitation of the Outreach program is that the undergraduate prerequisites (see below) are not available through Auburn Outreach program.  Potential applicants without formal Computer Science or Software Engineering training would have to fullfill the prerequisites requirement from other universities or colleges.

Please contact the Graduate Outreach Program for more information.
