With an enrollment of more than 275 undergraduates and 60 full-time graduate students, plus a significant number of outreach graduate students, Auburn has one of the Southeast's largest chemical engineering programs. Our faculty is currently composed of 19 full time faculty members, plus several visiting and part time faculty. In our program, each graduate student has the opportunity to develop personally and professionally through research and faculty mentoring.
Our excellent research facilities and annual research expenditures of over $4 million contributed to our extramural per faculty research rank of ninth in the nation. Modern analytical, process and computation equipment is available in all of our research areas. Our instrumentation capabilities comprise one of the most extensive in the nation. We have impressive computer facilities and extensive process simulators. Our faculty contribute more than 100 journal articles, conference proceedings , patent applications and presentations annually. Together, our research facilities, along with our research oriented faculty, provide graduate students with an enviable environment in which to further their education, research and professional skills. We are proud of our graduates and their value in America's technological workforce.
