Research: Bio-oil production from fast pyrolysis and upgrading. Fast pyrolysis of biomass produces bio-oil which is a feedstock for fuel and many chemicals. Catalytic conversion of bio-oil to gasoline range fuel has a significant impact on the United State's dependency on fossil fuels for the transportation sector. The study explores the production of bio-oil from different feedstock and economical catalytic upgrading of bio-oil.
