Auburn University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in
the Department of Aerospace Engineering. The primary area of interest for this
position is Computational Fluid Dynamics; however, applicants from all areas of
Aerospace Engineering will be considered. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Aerospace
Engineering, or a closely related discipline, must be able to meet eligibility
requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled
to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment and
be able to communicate effectively in English. Preference will be given to candidates
who meet basic requirements for obtaining a U. S. security clearance at the secret
level. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects
of the Department's mission, including undergraduate and graduate instruction,
research, and supervision of graduate students, and to develop an externally funded
research program. Rank and salary of this appointment will be commensurate with
experience and qualifications. Review of applicants will begin September 15, 2007.
