Walt Woltosz
and Red Bull Drive Day
 One of the team’s
most prominent sponsors, Walt Woltosz, had the opportunity to drive
the 2006 car last Thursday. Walt was in town for the annual
Engineering Alumni Council Meetings, so the team invited him to tour
the shop and take a test drive. Faced with impending storms Walt
took the wheel and managed to out-drive a third of the Formula
team. The CEO of Simulations Plus has a big background in club racing
including spec RX-7’s and it showed. After a couple of easy laps
Walt drove 15 to 20 clean, smooth laps that were actually quite fun
for us to watch.
Kyle Cooper, Red Bull’s student
representative at Auburn, also drove. While obviously not as
experienced as Walt, Kyle was no slouch for a first timer. We hope
that Walt and Kyle had a fun and we look forward to their future
support!
