Auburn Engineering Online invited its summer 2021 graduates to attend a reception in the Shelby Center McCartney Suite on campus on Aug. 6, 2021, the day before graduation.

Kayla Harris, who earned her Master of Engineering Management degree completely online, attended with her family and spoke highly of her experience as an online engineering student.

"I think I learned a lot more during my master’s at Auburn than I did throughout my undergraduate education," Harris said. "Everything I learned I can actually see in real life and apply it to my future career."

She also said her instructors were attentive to her as an online student.

"They were friendly and gave clear instructions and really wanted you to understand the material," Harris added.

Hayes Lucas, another online Master of Engineering Management graduate, also visited the Plains to attend the reception and walk at graduation.

Lucas said the MEM coursework has been invaluable from an application standpoint.

"I work with a lot of different systems that can't talk to one another," he said. "So really having the ability to look at the system as a whole, and being taught how to do that, was so beneficial."

Auburn Engineering Online offers 14 master’s degrees and 16 graduate certificate programs that can be completed entirely online. Visit the EOL website for more information.
