College of Engineering moves up in U.S. News and World Report rankings

U.S. News & World Report ranked the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering 28th among public institutions in the nation in its annual 2015 Best Colleges list, representing a two-spot jump from 2014. In addition, Auburn Engineering ranked 51st overall among the best engineering programs in the country, again moving up two spots from 2014.

“Auburn offers a premier engineering education and student centered experience,” said Christopher B. Roberts, dean of the College of Engineering. “These rankings reflect the hard work and dedication of our faculty in moving both our instructional and research programs forward. The quality of our student body is second to none . . . I am passionate about this college and the direction we are heading.”

Enrollment has also increased in the college with a total of 4,618 students, up 360 from last year.
