Industrial engineering alumnus recognized as Premier 100 Honoree

Daniel Traynor, a 1978 graduate from Auburn University’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been recognized as a 2012 Premier 100 Honoree by Computerworld. The program spotlights 100 leaders, from both the technology and business sides of companies, for their outstanding technology leadership, effective management of IT strategies and innovative solutions to business challenges.

Traynor serves as vice president and chief information officer of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). He is responsible for leveraging technology and setting strategies for TVA’s information resources. Traynor has previously served as director of infrastructure services for Southern Company’s information technology organization, where he managed one of the largest corporate computer infrastructure networks in the southeast.
