Prospective Students Learn About AU Engineering at E-Day
On Feb. 25, Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering hosted its
annual E-Day. More than 2,000 engineering students and their families visited
campus to learn about the variety of programs the College of Engineering has to

B-E-T Students Travel to India and the UK for Design Project
In December, Auburn's Business-Engineering-Technology (B-E-T) program sent two
students to Chennai, India, to work on a design project with students at the Indian
Institute of Technology of Madras (IIT-Madras). More>>
NSF Funds Nanotechnology Research at Auburn
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a two-year, $200,000 grant to Samuel Ginn College of Engineering
faculty member Christine Curtis, who will lead a team that includes James Bradley
of the Biological Sciences Department and Roderick Long of the Philosophy Department,
to research the societal, ethical and environmental effects of nanotechnology.

Engineering and Athletics Work Together to Improve Fan Day
As Kevin Gue's manufacturing systems design graduate students completed their
final project, they were making a difference not only in their grade, but across
campus as well. The industrial and systems engineering students had made it their
mission to develop a better plan for the Auburn Athletic Department's Fan Day

Parker Sizemore, an Auburn chemical engineering senior from Cumming, Ga., was selected as a 2005 Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Undergraduate Student Award Winner for Outstanding Biomedical Engineering
Research at the society's meeting September 28 through October 1 in Baltimore.

Engineering Faculty to Share in NASA Research Grant
Wayne Johnson, Guofu Niu and Fa Foster Dai, faculty members in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, in collaboration
with researchers at Georgia Tech, are participating in a NASA Exploration Systems Research and Technology Program grant. Auburn's share of the grant will be $2,375,000 over a four-year period.
