The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is the state's leading engineering research institution. In 2004, U.S.News & World Report ranked the college's graduate program 56 th in the nation among publically funded schools, with six it's programs individually ranked. The Chronicle of Higher Education lists Auburn among the nation's top 100 research institutions.
Offering 27 degrees in 10 program areas, the college has a long history of research excellence. A clear vision for the future, that includes continued focus on research, will lead to a doubling of the graduate program over the next decade. Our faculty members, many renowned in their fields, are recognized for the time they spend with students in the classroom and labs.
The College is home to three of the University's seven Peaks of Excellence - areas of interdisciplinary research identified by Auburn for emphasis - as well as 12 research centers and numerous departmental laboratories. An aggressive building campaign, already well underway, ensures that facilities are current. Partnerships with industry, government and other institutions around the world ensure that the college's programs remain relevant, on the cutting edge and prepare students for the workplace.
