Guidelines for College Web Site Pages

Within a distributed publication system, it is important that all contributors abide by a standard set of guidelines that adhere to proper "netiquette" for publishing on the Web. These guidelines are to be followed for all college pages, departmental and unit pages, and sponsored pages.

All college Web pages associated with the college's Web site shall:

  • comply with all the College of Engineering and Auburn University computer use regulations and policies;
  • be designed using an approved College of Engineering Web page template;
  • not be used to advertise or help operate a private business;
  • not present copyrighted material without the author's consent (when possible, copyrighted material should be linked, not reproduced);
  • comply with the equity and harassment policies of Auburn University;
  • comply with guidelines for accessibility;
  • use the official logo of the College of Engineering; and
  • adhere to the Guidelines for College Web Site Pages.
