Moses DavisMoses Davis got a sense of the Auburn family before he became an industrial and systems engineering graduate student at Auburn. While working at NASA during an undergraduate internship, Moses met Auburn alum Charles Shivers.  Shivers encouraged him to attend graduate school at Auburn and got him in contact with Bonnie Wilson, recruiter for engineering. Bonnie kept in contact with Moses as he completed his undergraduate studies and helped him make the decision to head to auburn and then transition to the area.

"I immediately experienced what it meant to be a part of the Auburn family," says Moses. "I was sold on the world class education, Auburn’s location and the ongoing commitment to diversity."

Moses is also interested in making the most of his engineering education. "Industrial and systems engineering provides the link between business and technology," he says. "The education I receive at Auburn can be utilized in a variety of industries and increase my chances for employment."

He also credits Auburn Engineering with preparing him to face challenges in the future. "By the end of my time here at Auburn, the diversity, networking and education will equip me with the essentials I need to keep thriving in the real world," Moses says.

To date, Moses’ best memories come from the classroom. He enjoys taking courses under Saeed Maghsoodloo, Professor Emeritus in industrial and systems engineering. So far, Moses has taken STATS3600 and STATS3610 with Maghsoodloo, and he thrives under the professor’s learning environment.
