Abstract

End-to-End Service Quality and Availability Assurance in Converged Wireline and Wireless Networks
As new methods of converging wireline and wireless technologies is becoming more prevalent, there is an increasing need for tools to model, measure and evaluate the stamina and effectiveness of the technologies over their lifecycles. In his discussion, Asthana will introduce an implementation of a proactive end-to-end service availability support platform that meets those increasing needs. He will discuss the platform's use in network technologies and services such as Information Management Systems (IMS) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). Asthana will also demonstrate how the new platform enables network managers and vendors of service providers to receive early warning signals in order to better inform network operators of problems or help technical assistance centers with troubleshooting.
