Abstract

Impact of Process and Physical Structure on the Performance of Polymeric Biomaterials
Little work has been done to define the impact of biomaterials processing, sterilization or morphology on the performance of various polymer chemistries. Jaffe will discuss their variations, which have a significant effect on mechanical properties, dimensional stability and the bio-erosion rates of erodible or biologically relevant substrates designed for in-vivo use.
