Seminar examines strategic behavior, uncertainties in electricity markets

Pavee Siriruk, doctoral student in industrial and systems engineering, will present the seminar, "Cournot Competition in Power Markets under Uncertainties" on Thursday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in Shelby Center 3210. Siriruk will discuss the determination of deregulated electricity price by market demand, supply conditions and strategic behavior. He will also present the Cournot model for representing strategic behavior and uncertainties in electricity markets. Uncertainties such as generator availabilities and fuel price are crucial factors that can affect the market prices of power systems.

The seminar is open to students, faculty, staff and the public. For additional information please visit http://www.eng.auburn.edu/admin/marketing/seminars/ise-seminars.html.
