Gupta contributes to Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook

Ram B. Gupta, professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, has coauthored the alternative separation processes section of Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook - the most widely used reference book of chemical engineering knowledge for a wide variety of engineers and scientists worldwide. The section provides an engineering guide for the design of new separation and purification processes that are less expensive, environmentally benign, and use less energy.

Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook was first published in 1934 by McGraw Hill.  The eighth edition of the book was released in 2008 with 25 sections and 2,400 pages.
