Student receives ATIE scholarship

Shannon Haines, a senior in polymer and fiber engineering, has been selected to receive a $2,000 scholarship from the Association of Textile Industrial Engineers. The award recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership, character and potential service to industrial engineering and/or the textile industry. The scholarship is given annually to a student attending one of the five universities with both an industrial engineering and textile or fiber-related program: Auburn, Clemson, North Carolina State and Southern Polytechnic State Universities, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Haines is from Vestavia, Alabama.
